Wacky Water Wednesday
Wacky Water Wednesday has returned for its 5th season in the City of Reading as a pop up spray park to provide kids a unique way to cool off during the hot summer months. The 2024 season kicked off at the 3rd and Spruce Recreation Center in Reading with dozens of kids from Reading Recreation and surrounding residents. Every week through into August, various city fire hydrants will be opened to allow kids to play in the water. To control the flow of water, a sprinkler device is installed on the hydrant. Also, keep in mind some streets will be closed for the events.
