The Berks County Community Foundation announced it awarded more than $1.1 million in grants during the first quarter of 2025, supporting a wide array of nonprofit organizations and initiatives that aim to improve life throughout Berks County.
In total, the Foundation distributed $1,152,270 across 190 grants, benefiting 142 organizations. The funding supported projects in several key areas, including environment and energy, education, health and human services, arts and culture, and neighborhood and economic development.
“These numbers are a testament to the Foundation’s commitment to its mission to promote philanthropy and improve the quality of life for the residents of Berks County,” the organization said in its announcement.
“Grants awarded are made possible by generous donors who give back to the community they love,” said Molly McCullough Robbins, Vice President for Philanthropic Services.
The Foundation is encouraging community members to get involved by contributing to an existing fund or starting their own. Those interested can learn more at www.bccf.org or by contacting McCullough Robbins at mollyr@bccf.org or (610) 685-2223.
