Explore the talent of Berks County’s young artists at the 43rd Annual Secondary Art Exhibition

The Berks County Intermediate Unit (BCIU) is presenting the 43rd Annual Secondary Art Exhibition, a vibrant display of creativity from high school students across Berks County. Hosted at the GoggleWorks Center for the Arts, 201 Washington Street, Reading, this free exhibition is open to the public daily from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., now through Tuesday, April 29, 2025.

This year’s exhibition features over 1,700 pieces of artwork, selected by art educators from 22 Berks County schools, and displayed in the main floor gallery of the GoggleWorks.

Participating high schools include Antietam, Berks Career & Technology Center, Berks Catholic, Boyertown Area, Brandywine Heights Area, Conrad Weiser Area, Daniel Boone Area, Exeter Township, Fleetwood Area, Governor Mifflin, Hamburg Area, King’s Academy, Kutztown Area, Muhlenberg, Oley Valley, Reading, Reading Muhlenberg Career & Technology Center, Schuylkill Valley, Tulpehocken Area, Twin Valley, Wilson, and Wyomissing Area.

The 2025 exhibition is a celebration of the creativity and talent of young artists in our community, with over 1,200 students submitting their artwork to be judged across 18 categories, including oils/acrylics, water media, color drawing, black and white drawing, pen and ink drawing, printmaking, mixed media/collage, black and white photography, color photography, digital and photo illustration, hand-built pottery, wheel-thrown pottery, digital art 3-D/motion graphics, graphic design, sculpture, textiles non-loom, and textiles loom.

Awards were placed on Monday, March 31, 2025.

The exhibition is made possible through the support of the Berks County Guild of Craftsmen and the Berks Arts Council, whose contributions play a vital role in ensuring the event’s success.
