The Winter Wonderland event held at the Amity Township Community Park on Saturday, December 7th, marked another successful celebration of the holiday season, bringing together nearly 500 local residents to enjoy an evening of festive fun. This year’s event was the second collaboration between the Blazer Education Foundation and the Daniel Boone Optimist Club, continuing a tradition of community unity and holiday spirit.

Since its inception, the Optimist Club has hosted an annual tree lighting event for the past eight years. Last year, the Blazer Education Foundation joined forces with the Optimists to expand the event, enhancing its offerings and reach within the community. With the help of generous local sponsorships and community participation, Winter Wonderland has grown into a much-anticipated event for the Daniel Boone area.

“We are thrilled to see this event grow each year, and it’s truly heartwarming to see the community come together to celebrate the season,” said Lisa Kieke, Executive Director of the Blazer Education Foundation. “Winter Wonderland is a reflection of what happens when we work together for the common good of the community, and we are grateful for the support of everyone who made this year’s event such a success.”

Krise Transportation generously sponsored the entire “Krise Kandyland” inflatable park and trackless train rides, offering families the chance to enjoy these attractions for free.

St. Paul’s UCC Church presented a live nativity scene, capturing the spirit of Christmas for attendees of all ages.

The Daniel Boone Middle School Choir and Eurillo Music Studio provided live performances, adding to the festive atmosphere with beautiful music and carols.

The crowd was treated to lively tunes by DJ Dave Stephenson from iSmile Photo Booths, keeping everyone in the holiday spirit.

Amity Fire Company played a special role in delivering Santa to the park, making a grand entrance with a fire truck that thrilled young and old alike.

Thanks to the generosity of local sponsors and community partners, this year’s Winter Wonderland was a fantastic, family-friendly event.

The Blazer Education Foundation is dedicated to enhancing educational opportunities and supporting local students, teachers, and schools in the Daniel Boone Area School District.

The Daniel Boone Optimist Club is part of a global volunteer organization that works to make a positive impact on the lives of young people through community-based programs, fundraising, and service projects.
