The Caernarvon Township Police Department is hosting an Elder Scams Presentation put on by the Berks County District Attorney Detectives.
The presentation will cover common scams targeting the elderly that we have been experiencing in the county. Elderly residents and their children who care for them are the target audiences.
Wednesday, Oct 30, 2024, at 10:30am at the Caernarvon Township Meeting Room located at 3307 Main Street, Morgantown, PA 19543. The presentation will take approximately 1 hour.
Topics covered will be some of the top reported elder fraud types: Tech Support Scams Confidence and Romance Scams Non-Payment Scams Investment Scams Government Impersonation Scams. Will have coffee, light snacks and common scam informational pamphlets.
