EXPIRED // A Tornado Warning has been issued for South Central Berks County in eastern Pennsylvania until 6:45 PM EDT.

At 6:11 PM, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was detected near Adamstown, moving east at 20 mph. Radar has indicated rotation, signaling the potential for a tornado to form.

Impact: Flying debris will be dangerous to anyone without shelter. Mobile homes may be severely damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, vehicles, and trees is likely.

Areas that may be impacted include Wyomissing Hills, West Reading, Birdsboro, Reading, Mohnton, Shillington, and other nearby communities. Additionally, drivers on Interstate 176 should be cautious between mile markers 6 and 11.

Take Cover Now! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Stay away from windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, get to the nearest substantial shelter immediately and protect yourself from flying debris.
