Reading Police and EMS responded to the report of a shooting Saturday evening around 7:45 PM in the 00 block of South 9th Street, initially described as a person with a gunshot wound to the neck. Medics eventually transported one person to the hospital, condition unknown. Police have portions of the sidewalk and entrance of an apartment building closed for the investigation.
